Michelle Suzanne Dockery[better sources needed(better source required) (born 15 December 1981) is an English actress in film and television. Her most well-known part is in Lady Mary Crawley, an ITV period drama. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award and three Primetime Emmy Awards. Dockery also made her professional stage debut with His Dark Materials in 2004. In her role as Eliza Doolittle in the 2007 London revival of Pygmalion She was nominated for an Evening Standard Award. For her role in the play Burnt by the Sun, she received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.Dockery has been featured in the films Hanna (2011), Anna Karenina (2012), Non-Stop (2014) and The Gentlemen (2019). On TV, Dockery has also played prominent roles on the drama series Good Behavior and the Netflix miniseries Godless in which she earned her fourth Emmy nomination, as well as the drama miniseries Defending Jacob (2020).
