 Nicholas Scott Cannon (born October 8 in 1980) is an American television host as well as actor, rapper and comedian. Cannon started his television career as a teenager by hosting All That. Then, he went on to host The Nick Cannon Show and Wild 'n Out, America's Got Talent, Lip Sync Battle Shorties and The Masked Singer. He was a part of the films Drumline and Love Don't Cost a Thing and Roll Bounce.As a rapper he released his debut self-titled album in 2003 with the single "Gigolo", a collaboration with the singer R. Kelly. In 2007, he played the role of fictional footballer TJ Harper in the movie Goal II: Living the Dream. Cannon recorded "Dime Piece" in 2006, and "My Wife" on the album Stages. This album was not released. Cannon was mostly raised by his paternal grandpa, whom Cannon and his father called "dad". As a child, Cannon grew up in Lincoln Park's Bay Vista Housing Projects, which is a gang-stricken area of Southeast San Diego. When he was in his teenage years, Cannon lived in the Bay Vista Housing Projects.
