Maria Jose de Pablo Fernandez (born on November 12, 1979) is a Chilean-American singer and actress. Born in Santiago, Chile, she relocated to the United States at the age of ten, and studied acting.De Pablo hosted episodes of the talk show from Latin America show Control alongside the former Entertainment Tonight host Carlos Ponce at the age of 15, before attending Carnegie Mellon University to study theater and music. After performing in a variety of TV shows, she was cast to portray main character Ziva David in NCIS on the CBS television show NCIS in 2005 and won an ALMA Award for the role in 2011.She was featured in a segment of Tom Waits' song "Temptation" in the episode of NCIS. Outside of the show she sang on Roberto Pitre's Vivo En Vida CD.De Pablo started her career in the world of entertainment in the year she turned 15, hosting some of talk show Control (1994-95) on Univision along with the former Entertainment Tonight host Carlos Ponce.
