Shonda

 Shonda Rhimes is an American director, writer, author, and producer who has an estimated value of $140 million. She is most famous for being the executive producer, creator, and head writer of the shows "Scandal," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Private Practice," among others.Shonda Lynn Rhimes was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 13th 1970. She is the youngest of six children. Shonda graduated from Marian Catholic High School. She was a volunteer in an institution while in high school. This led her to be interested in the hospital environment. Dartmouth College was where she did her film studies. Shonda received her BA degree in 1991. After undergrad, Shonda moved to San Francisco to be employed by an ad agency. She moved to Los Angeles to enroll in the MFA program at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She focused on screenwriting and was at the highest of her USC Class.After finishing her studies at USC, Rhimes, like so many other new college graduates, became an unemployed screenwriter in Hollywood. She was a screenwriter on the 1995 documentary "Hank Aaron - Chasing the Dream", which received the Peabody Award in 1995.
