 Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio, /di’kaeprioU(pronounced /); Italian pronunciation: [di’ka:prjo]; born November 11 1974. He is an actor and producer in the United America. He is well-known for his work as a leading actor in biopics and period film. He has received numerous awards such as the Academy Award, British Academy Film Award and three Golden Globe Awards. His films have grossed more than $7.2 billion globally as of 2019. In addition, he has been ranked eight times in annual lists of the most lucrative actors worldwide. DiCaprio was born in Los Angeles and began his career in the commercial world on TV. He was a frequent guest on TV shows like Parenthood during the 90s. The first film in which he starred appearance was that of Tobias Wolff, an author, in This Boy's Life (1993). He was 19 years old when he won praise for his portrayal of a boy who had a developmental disability in What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993).
