Morena Silva De Vaz Setta Baccarin, Portuguese (pronounced: mo'rena baka'ri) was born on June 2nd 1979. She is a Brazilian actress, best known for her roles as Inara Serra and Vanessa in the sci-fi television series Firefly. Jessica Brody, Jessica Brody, and Dr. Leslie Thompkins in Fox's Gotham. Elena Federova was in the NBC series The Endgame. For Homeland she was awarded an Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013.Baccarin has attended Public School 41 and New York City Lab School for Collaborative Studies in New York City, in which she and her eventual Homeland co-star Claire Danes were classmates.She later attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts before she joined the theatre program at the Juilliard School, where she was in the Drama Division's Group 29 (1996~2000).
