Tuesday Weld

 Tuesday Weld (born Susan Ker Weld 27 August 1943) is an American actress and model. She began acting as a child and then moved into roles for mature women in the late 1950s. In 1960, she won the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Youngcomer. The following decade she made a name for herself playing dramatic roles in films.Weld often played impulsive and reckless women who were acting sexually. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for Play It as It Lays (1972) as well as and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977) and an Emmy Award for The Winter of Our Discontent (1983) and the BAFTA award for Once Upon a Time in America (1984). In the latter half of the 1980s, her acting appearances were rare. Her father was Lathrop Motley Weld of the Weld family in Massachusetts. In 1947, her father passed away at the age of 49, just prior to the fourth birthday of his daughter. Yosene Balfour Ker was Lathrop Weld’s fourth and final wife. She was the daughter of William Balfour Ker (artist and Life illustrator).
